Ebooks on O'Reilly
Formerly called "Safari Tech Books," the UR Libraries subscribes a collection of ebooks on the O'Reilly platform. Most of these ebooks are technology-related and include up-to-date manuals on how to code in different programming languages, how to use various software like the Creative Suite, as well as the ever-popular For Dummies series.
In order to a read an ebook through O'Reilly, you must either read the ebook on a computer or download it to the O'Reilly app. These ebooks cannot be saved to a computer or read on a Kindle.

Download an ebook to the O'Reilly app
You can download ebooks to the O'Reilly app and read them offline:
- Download the O'Reilly app from: Apple's App Store or Google Play.
- Click Sign In to access UR's collection.
- Enter your email address in the box and click Sign In. Do NOT select Sign in with Apple or Google.
- The app will recognize that you are from University of Richmond. Select "Sign in with SSO." Click "Continue" when prompted.
- Sign in to your UR account.
- After you are signed in, search for an ebook. Click "Download Book" to download it to your device.
