The purpose of this guide is to organize some of the information available about ebooks available either through Boatwright Library's purchases and subscriptions, or through free or commercial sources.

Recently Added to Boatwright Library's Collections

During the 2024-25 academic year, the library contributed to a new open access ebook initiative by MIT Press.  We also opted into a VIVA subscription of over 100,000 ebooks published by Taylor and Francis.  By subscribing to these collections, we continue to ensure that the students, faculty, and staff have access to a diverse range of high-quality titles.  And, in the case of our MIT Press subscription, our participation contributed to expanding public access to their ebooks.  They committed to unlocking access to their ebooks for broader audiences, contingent upon sufficient support from libraries.
