Link Directly to Database

If you prefer to link directly to the item in a database (rather than the OneSearch record), here's how to do that:

  1.  Access the article, ebook, or video in the database.  Look for a button/link to "copy URL" or "permalink" or "bookmark" or "durable link" or "cite."  Review the URL automatically generated by the database.  If it starts with https://newman.richmond.edu/login?url= (our proxy prefix), then copy and save that link.

  2.  If it does not start with the proxy prefix, then add it to the front of the URL.  In the examples below, you would modify the URL to be either: Screenshot of two citations with the link to the article highlighted and neither have the proxy prefix
