As the use of generative AI tools in research and writing expands, academic publishers have responded in kind regarding how much, if any, generative AI use will be allowed in published works. While there is no universal standard to citing and/or including generative AI use in published papers, many scholarly journals and publishers have created guidelines for authors to follow when submitting works for publication.
