Spring Goals: Deeper Understanding of Information Literacy
In addition to the goals listed for fall, the spring semester will focus on:
Selecting Sources. Students will learn how to identify and determine a source's format (scholarly, etc.) in order to understand how the source contributes to a scholarly conversation.
Analyzing Sources. Students will analyze sources to discern the larger context in order to understand how to think like a researcher and help them determine how sources contribute to a scholarly conversation.
Creating New Knowledge. Students will learn how to use sources in ways that develop their own original thinking in order to determine if collected information can add new knowledge to their topic.
