Resource Sharing/ILL at University of Richmond Libraries : Home

This guide summarizes uses, updates, and guidance for Resource Sharing/ILL at Boatwright Library and Parsons Music Library at the University of Richmond.

Resource Sharing Operations

OPERATIONS NOTES:

Spring 2022: Resource Sharing at UR is grateful to be operating as close to normal as possible. However, many of our library lenders still remain closed, operate remotely, are understaffed, or are working in less than ideal circumstances, and this continues to affect our lending network. Due to these issues, wait times will likely be longer than our patrons are used to, and hard-to-find items will be even harder to obtain. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding!

DUE DATES/BLOCKS IN ILLIAD: Materials are now due as marked on the material or on your ILLiad account. After three overdue notices you may be blocked from ordering more materials in ILLiad until items are returned. Please help us maintain our borrowing and lending relationships by returning overdue material!

Announcements and Updates

Any updates or alerts related to ILL service changes will be posted here.

***Please remember that due to ongoing nationwide shipping delays and staff shortages at partner institutions, ILL items may take longer to receive than in the past! We appreciate your patience and are working to get your materials to you as quickly as possible.

2/20/2022 - Please note: masks are still required in the Resource Sharing Office.

ILLiad Log On

Log into ILLiad here!

If you experience any trouble logging in or placing requests, please email ill@richmond.edu for assistance.

PLEASE NOTE - Picking Up Items

Currently we do not allow proxy accounts for ILLiad users. For item security and to ensure that you get the items you need, you must pick items up yourself in-person at the Boatwright Information and Assistance Desk.

***If you need another person to pick an item up on your behalf, such as a student administrative employee, colleague, or family member, you MUST receive approval ahead of time by emailing ill@richmond.edu with the name of the person who will be picking up your item. This must be done for each item you are having picked up. Items will not be released to the person picking up unless this name is on file.
