- International Organization for Migration (IOM)Focuses on migration trends throughout the world and supports humane treatment of migrants, includes information on countries, diasporas, policy issues, etc.
- International Criminal Court (ICC)An international court tribunal established in 2002 focusing on prosecution of genocide, crimes against humanities and war crimes. This is an independent organization with membership of 121 countries.

- International Monetary Fund (IMF)Focuses on international monetary cooperation, monetary exchange, economics, etc. of its member countries and also provides temporary financial assistance to countries.
- World Bank (WB)International organization focusing on the developing world by providing loans and grants to countries to develop education, health, agricultural and economic systems.

Independent Organizations
- International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)A neutral organization that predates the UN system providing humanitarian assistance and protect to those affected by war and violence. The ICRC also works to improve humanitarian principles and law and is part of the IFRC.
- International Federation of Red Cross & Red Cresent Societies (IFRC)A movement of various independent humanitarian organizations that work together to achieve shared principles and objectives regarding human rights.

UN System
- UN Human Rights CouncilIGO within the UN system consisting of 47 UN member countries elected to the Council by the UN General Assembly. The Council reviews human rights policies and issues of member countries.
- UN Security CouncilThis entity is the "security organ" of the UN, consisting of 15 member states (5 permanent, 10 rotating) that determine UN actions regarding issues of international peace and conflict areas.
- UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSO)Apparatus of the UN, focusing on international economic and developmental projects and goals.
United Nations Agencies
- United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)Agency assisting UN member states with implementing the UN Millennium Development Goals and created reports on international development rates.
- Department of Peacekeeping Operations (DPKO)Military and police personnel in areas of conflict provided by UN member states to support peacekeeping missions.
- Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR)Principal human rights entity within the UN and determines strategies of the UN regarding human rights as well as working with other UN agencies to monitor compliance.
- UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR)UN agency tasked with protecting refugees and assisting to resolve refugee problems by ensuring refugee safety and asylum when necessary.
- United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF)Primary UN agency focused on children, including protecting child rights as well as improving standards of living, works with partner organizations in member countries.
- World Health Organization (WHO)Major authority regarding health within the UN, developing international health policies while providing "on the ground" health programs throughout the world.
- Food & Agriculture Organization (FAO)Focuses on increasing agricultural production throughout the world in order to improve nutrition, increase standards of living and ensure food security.
- World Food Programme (WFP)Provides emergency access to food for those affected by man-made and natural disasters.
