Analyzing a Presidential Address

You have been asked to analyze the rhetoric of two presidential speeches in the light of their historical contetxts.  To do this you must

1. Find a source of speeches by American Presidents,

2. Find sources of historical information,

3. Find sources that analyze historical events,

4. Find sources that examine the rhetorical strategies of presidents in this or comparable situations.

5. Choose the sources that seem most pertinent and most reliable, considering the authors' knowledge and motives.
