GLOBAL STUDIES RESEARCH GUIDE: International Travel

Government Information for Travelers

Just to make sure you're prepared and have the necessary papers, vaccinations, visas, check out these government web sites.

Connecting to Library Resources from Abroad

To access the University of Richmond's Library resources (such as databases, ebooks, and journal articles) from off campus, you'll need to connect using a VPN Client, which you should download and test before you leave. Click on the link below for instructions on setting up your VPN connection and contact info in case you need help.

Commercial Travel Information

Most commercially available travel guides have free web sites with useful information.  Several of the best known are listed below.

Study Abroad

The first stop for UR students, faculty, and staff planning educational/professional travel should be the Office of International Education's Study Abroad web page, but there are many other sources of information.
